New Issue of Studies in Family Planning Now Available

The September 2026 issue of Studies in Family Planning, a journal of the Population Council, is now available. Highlights include a commentary on addressing women’s concerns about contraception and future fertility, and a new client-experience measure for injectable contraceptive care developed and tested with 400 women in Lilongwe, Malawi. The issue features research articles spanning contraceptive alignment and preference concordance, service users’ perspectives on abortion care quality in Britain, a digital health family planning counseling tool for women living with HIV in Kenya, unintended pregnancy among female sex workers in Sri Lanka, family planning decision-making among people with depression in Germany, and return migration and contraceptive use in Mexico, along with a mixed-methods data article on contraceptive use dynamics across four sub-Saharan African countries.
